Christoph Zimmel is a partner and CEO at Grant Thornton Austria.

During his many years as an auditor and tax advisor Christoph Zimmel has advised companies in paper and cardboard production, metal and wood processing industries as well as the pharmaceutical industry, tourism, media and financial services. In his work Christoph focuses on the audit of national and international (group) financial statements. His areas of expertise are national and international accounting standards (UGB/IFRS/US-GAAP).

Christoph specializes in auditing internationally active family businesses and listed companies as well as in IFRS advisory. He is currently responsible for auditing the consolidated financial statements of two listed companies. In addition, he is the engagement partner for the audit of the consolidated financial statements of three other owner-managed, internationally active groups of companies.

Christoph is a registered Quality Inspector pursuant to § 26 APAG. He is also a member of professional expert groups at the Austrian Chamber of chartered public accountants (KWT) and tax consultants and at the Institute of Austrian Public Accountants (IWP).

Christoph joined our firm in 1993. He is a public accountant according to Austrian law. He is Certified Public Accountant (CPA), registered in In Illinois, USA.
